Showers and Showers

We've been in a drought...rain wise and otherwise. By otherwise I mean that we're at an age where most of our friends are done being married and done having babies...and those babies haven't been old enough to graduate. It seems as though that "otherwise" drought is changing. Yesterday I spent a good part of my day shopping for gifts....for a baby shower, a wedding shower, two weddings, and some graduation cards. Add father's day and an anniversary and that's a lot of cards! :-) A friend of mine is having a baby, a cousin is getting married, a niece is getting married, a nephew is graduating, and two kids of one of my bridesmaids are graduating...one from college, one from high school. Whew. When it rains it pours. One bridal shower was in April. The baby shower is today. Another wedding shower tomorrow.

Our other drought...the one where we only got about .5" of rain in all of May...is hopefully going to be over too. It's raining today. A slow steady rain. Things already are looking a little greener...maybe it's the dust being washed off. It smells wonderful. The downside is that it is cold, really cold for June in Minnesota. They are predicting a high today of 51 degrees. Brrr.

But if it breaks the drought, I won't complain. And if I get wet and freeze at Billy's game this afternoon...I won't complain. If it starts to snow...well, that's a different story.

Thankful for answered prayers for rain in Eden Prairie!
