....and once upon a time there was a really tiny little local burger joint. A mom and pop place in Eden Prairie, a place with the best burgers around. You probably won't recognize their logo! Anyway, the little burger place came up with a catchy slogan to advertise their burgers a few years back. Their slogan asked "WHO'S YOUR PATTY?"
Then all of a sudden, the big burger chain came out with a new burger, the Angus burger, and they started advertising it on billboards asking "WHO'S YOUR PATTY?" Eric and I started seeing the billboards all around town. First thing I said was...they can't do that! Next thing we hear is that our little burger joint is filing a lawsuit against the big burger joint for using their trademarked slogan. Really?? Could a small local burger place win against a world wide corporation? The case has been settled...and while they didn't get into the details in the paper, it sure looks like the locals prevailed. Here's a link to the article. And while it might not be a big deal in the scheme of things, it some how gives a person a little hope that right is right and wrong is wrong no matter how big or little you are. I think that we need a little more of that in our world.
Man...I am hungry for a burger all of a sudden.

I'm glad they didn't get away with it.
