On the first Friday of June I took an idea from several other bloggers and did a "flashback" Friday. My plan is to do one on the first Friday of each month. Here is the July version...photos from July 2004.
In last months post from 8 years ago Billy was playing baseball. Are you surprised? A month later he was still playing ball. They moved the kids around a lot at this age, here he was making a scoop at first base.
He spent some time catching too. I can't believe how little he looks.
Brian was still taking tennis lessons. It looks like it was a hot day when this one was taken!
The boys would walk across our backyard and into the park to go to their lessons. I remember one time when they were gone Penny decided that she was missing out and escaped from our yard to find them! It's a scary thing when your dog goes missing in the city. We found her in the park safe and sound.
Billy had been asked to play on a tournament team in the summer of 2004. It was a little taste of what travel baseball would be like. He was pretty serious about baseball way back then!
A boy and his dog. Brian has always had a sweet relationship with Penny. It's so strange to see her without her gray face...and to see Brian without hair on his! The lazy days of summer.
It's still hot here, in the upper 90's today and humid. I've been spending the last few days backing up my photo files. I put them on an external hard drive and I'm burning DVD's of all of them just to be extra safe. So many precious memories that I would really hate to lose. Have you backed up your files lately? Do it, you won't be sorry!
