This Ain't Minnesota Baby!

You don't see sights like this in Minnesota....especially in November.

And you don't see sparkling blue water like this there very often either. So where in the world am I? Sunny Florida for a long weekend with some girl friends!

We got up early and headed to the airport. Our flight brought us into Tampa around 1:00 pm. We hopped into a rental car, headed south for about an hour, and ended up in Anna Maria Island. A quick change of clothes and we strolled up the beach in search of lunch. We found a cute little almost outdoor place called the Gulf Drive Cafe. Here are Tonya and Sarah impatiently waiting for lunch.

Here are Kris and I impatiently waiting for lunch. We were hungry!

We came her for a little break from the day to day. A little time to rest and relax.

And a little time to stop and smell the roses.

The beach is just at hop and a jump away...across the road and over the bridge.

We went to the beach to enjoy the sunset. Sarah and Tonya took some pictures....

Kris took some pictures....

....and um....so did I. Of birds....

We enjoyed the sunset...and the feeling of being on vacation....

Ahhhhhh.....vacation....

....and good friends...

....it doesn't get much better than that!
